A visit to the historic city of Brno, the most important city of this region, is a real must. The architecture buffs will have a wonderful time here, Brno was the centre of modern art in Central Europe between 1920 and 1940 and as such attracted many international architects. Brno has a lively centre with trendy restaurants, bars, and modern shopping streets. Other interesting, historical towns are the UNESCO town of Telc, or the baroque town of Olomouc.
In Moravia, you will also find health resorts, such as those in Jeseník, Karlova Studánka, Trebon, and Luhacovice. Winter sports enthusiasts will feel right at home in Moravia, soaking up the picturesque scenery of the Eagle Mountains (Orlické hory) and the Jeseníky Mountains, in northern Moravia. The best known skiing resorts in the Eagle Mountains are those of Rícky and De?tné; and in Jeseníky those of Ramzová and Cervenohorské Sedlo. The mountainous area of Beskydy in the East also includes skiing areas which are suitable for the less demanding winter sports enthusiasts, in terms of facilities, maintenance, and slopes.
